L.B. Foster Europe announces the appointment of a new Head of Automation at its operating division L.B. Foster Automation & Materials Handling in Nottingham.

Mark Stamford, aged 47, joins the business which specialises in innovative automated engineering and materials handling solutions for the food and beverage, automotive and distribution and logistics sectors. Previously Mark was Head of Modernisation & Upgrades at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery in Lincoln.

Peter Jones, Managing Director, L.B. Foster Europe, says: “This is a key strategic appointment for our automation and materials handling businesses. It is designed to build upon our reputation for excellence for developing innovative solutions in automated engineering and conveyors.”

Prior to working for Siemens, Mark was employed at the Boulting Group, a multi-disciplinary engineering solutions provider, operating in a diverse range of industry sectors in the UK and internationally. The company employs over 50 staff at its ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Nottingham.
